- Mix Method: These are Nominal Volumetric Mixes (Prescribed Mixes) commonly used for small works in accordance with general building practice in South Africa.
- Structural Note: For critical structural elements requiring 30 MPa or higher, SANS 10100-2 recommends a 'Designed Mix' from a ready-mix supplier to guarantee strength.
- Bulking Factor: A dry volume factor of 1.54 is applied (Standard allowance for sand bulking).
- Cement: Based on CEM II 32.5N or 42.5N Ordinary Portland Cement.
- Verification: The user is responsible for conducting cube tests on site to verify actual 28-day compressive strength.
